Intro
Scanfast, an abbreviation of Scandinavian Fastening, has been a leader in the fastening industry since its founding in 1987 in Bohuslän, Sweden. Specializing in pneumatic tools like nail guns, electric staplers, and related fastening supplies, they are renowned experts in the field. Despite the significant changes since its founding, the core elements of their visual identity largely remained unchanged. With the reins passing to the third generation of the family, I had the privilege to craft a new visual language. This update aims to better capture the essence of Scanfast today and its aspirations for tomorrow.
The result is a brand designed to help the company express their commitment to excellence, efficiency as well as it’s Scandinavian heritage and is currently being rolled out.

Because of the wide variety of applications ranging from large to very small, we knew that a symbol would be an effective solution to identify the brand. The result is an abstract shape inspired by a bit. We call it The Smart Bit.
